Lea and Graham were married at Lea’s parents greenhouse, Sunnyside Gardens, in Saratoga. This was my first greenhouse wedding, but hopefully not my last! It was truly amazing. And, as if the location weren’t enough, Lea’s parents have this ride-on train there as well. I don’t know much about trains, but from what I understand, this is very rare and there are only a few left in operation. OK, and if that weren’t enough…I knew how truly special this couple was to their loved one’s because Graham is from England and so many people jumped “across the pond” to see these two tie the knot in America! Here are some of my favorite’s from the day…
The groom’s ride…

And, the groom…

The bride, Lea…I love it when friends peak in on the bride getting ready…there is so much excitement in every-one’s expressions…and, as an added bonus, there are actually 3 generations of women in the image…that’s Lea’s sister, mother and grandmother looking on as she says hello to her good friend…

Saying their vows…I love how the light is shinning through the trees in this one…

A sweet moment as they say “I do”…

These next few were a first for me…That’s the best man and his girlfriend leading the guests in a rendition of Sonny and Cher’s, I got you babe…

Mr and Mrs…I know I have shown a lot of this image lately, but it’s one of my ‘standards’…I just love the expressions on newlywed’s faces as they take their first steps as Husband and Wife surrounded by their loved one’s…

A private moment as they walked away from their guests…I almost feel like a peeping tom when I view this image, like I was watching something I wasn’t invited to see…not only that, but it kind of reminds me of that photo of John Kennedy Jr. sweetly kissing the hand of Carolyne Bessette as they left the chapel on their wedding day…

I don’t know why I love this one…but I keep starring at it, maybe it’s the movement, maybe it’s the light…

Everything was decked out with gorgeous flowers!

The train!

Sometimes potential clients ask me if I focus on capturing their guests having a good time…rest assured, I’ve got it covered! (p.s. this is one of the reasons I always bring an assistant)

I think this one is my favorite of the day…In case anyone was wondering, I asked about all the hats…it’s tradition in England for ladies to wear hats to weddings! I love that Lea did too!

The rings…Lea’s parents had a bird cage in the green house that the guests were putting their gift envelope’s in, so I used that as my backdrop..

Two more of my ‘standard’ portraits that I try to get at every wedding…I particularly love these shots because I think they are perfect for my couple’s desks at work…obviously the first one of Graham with the Lea blurred out in the background is for Lea’s desk, and vice versa

And finally my last image…there was no formal ‘first dance’ but I did happen to capture this image of Lea and Graham on the dance floor!
